Truthways - You'll Know More When We Know More

Quick conspiracy blog almost-fic written for [livejournal.com profile] gameofcards.

Hola, Truthseekers! We at Truthways are coming to you with a new hot new story! There are rumours floating around the darkweb of a new government project, code named “Clockwork.” We aren’t sure yet what exactly this new project involves (apart from a whole lot of money!), but there are hints that it could be the first step toward actualizing the Singularity. Yes, you read that right. The Singularity might be on its way. Or maybe the government's just going to come up with an even more effective way to spy on us all.

Our ear is to the ground on this one, Truthseekers! You’ll know more when we know more.

Greetings, Truthseekers! We’re coming at you once again from our secret underground lair. We’d tell you where it is, but then we could never let you leave. ;)

Today’s big rumor: we’ve heard that the lost city of Atlantis--last seen (or more accurately, not-seen) floating off the coast of San Francisco--is making a return trip to Earth!

Now, as cool as that is, bringing that kind of massive super-weapon back to Earth can’t be a good sign. There's just no way the government would allow that without some kind of major impending threat. The current leading contender in our office pool is alien invasion, with an escaped virus threatening a global pandemic running a close second. Will our leaders cut and run, Truthseekers? Or will they stay and fight? We’ll continue to follow this one wherever it takes us. You’ll know more when we know more.

Truthseekers of the world, listen up! We’ve continued to follow Project Clockwork down the rabbit hole, and what a twisted rabbit hole it is! The current hush hush news it that they’re running a very quiet, very exclusive recruiting program for military personnel and federal agents, with a particular focus on Delta Force and Navy SEALs. What do they plan to do with these men? Only time will tell. But rumour has it they're rejecting anyone with children, which suggests that whatever it is, it ain't exactly safe. Are man and machine about to meet? Are the first cyborgs on the horizon? You'll know more when we know more, Truthseekers.

Did anyone else catch last night's light show over the arctic, Truthseekers? Can you say Alien Drones? I thought you could! I guess we all know now where Atlantis ended up. Yes, yes, the government is making noises about solar flares and the Northern Lights, but we know the truth, don't we? The boys and girls who backed the alien invasion theory cleaned up nicely in our little office pool this morning.

The next question is, is Atlantis here to stay? Or is it on its way back to the stars? You'll know more when we know more!

Happy New Year, Truthseekers! We at Truthways rang in the New Year last night skulking around a military base outside Colorado Springs. I don't want to say too much about what we saw, Truthseekers, but let's just say that not all aliens are little green men. And I swear it's not just the vodka talking!

Our condolences go out today to the family of Sergeant Adam Gregory, who was buried today with full honors at Arlington Cemetery.

What killed Sergeant Gregory, you ask? Not enemy fire--the man had been stateside for over two years. And not a training accident either, despite what the Army is claiming. No, what we hear is that Sergeant Gregory is the first casualty of Project Clockwork. Yes, that's right, we were beginning to think it was all vapor too, but Clockwork has once again emerged from the rabbit hole. Unfortunately, we can't tell you much more than that--whoever's hiding Clockwork is doing a damn fine job of it. We couldn't even get Sergeant Gregory's autopsy report. Somehow they kept that completely out of the system. Whatever this is, it's BIG, Truthseekers. But don't worry--we'll keep after it.

You'll know more when we know more.

So has anyone else heard rumors about a mysterious organization that can meet your every fantasy with the perfect companion? Humans programmed like machines? Skills downloaded into people's heads in a matter of minutes?

Yeah, we thought it sounded far-fetched too.

Another day, another mysterious death that can be traced back to the equally-mysterious Project Clockwork. Once again, our condolences go out to the friends and family of a serviceman. Or former serviceman, in this case, since Sergeant Brown apparently left the Army six months ago. We don't know the exact cause of death, but I think it's safe to assume it wasn't a bullet, since Sergeant Brown apparently died in Virginia.

We're still not exactly sure what Clockwork is, but we did receive a write-in from a famed neurosurgeon, telling us that they were approached by an unnamed government agency about a possible job involving surgery, soldiers, and a computer chip. Curious, Truthseekers? So are we! If anyone out there knows more, PLEASE get in touch with us. We just have to know what's going on here!

As for the rest of you, you'll know more when we know more.

Whatever agency is behind Project Clockwork, they clearly don't give up easily. We've heard from a few loyal military Truthseekers that Clockwork is on the prowl for fresh meat once again. Apparently two deaths aren't enough for these ghouls. That's right--whatever it is they're doing, they're going to try it again. Let's hope they at least learned something from the deaths of Sergeants Gregory and Brown, and that their next victim fares a little better.

Project Clockwork is back on our radar, Truthseekers. No deaths this time, but there's apparently a servicewoman in the hospital who's a lot less mobile than she used to be. As in, quadriplegic. We're trying to get someone in to talk to her and see what she has to say about her condition. In the meantime, we'd caution any military personnel or federal agents approached to participate in a top-secret experiment to think long and hard about just how much you value your humanity...and your life.
