Nomination Discussion

I took photos all day planning to do my "day in the life" post for [community profile] thecoffeehouse, but I'm too tired now to edit and upload them, so I'll save that for tomorrow and--since nominations opened today--I'll put up the nominations I'm considering for Yuletide instead.

Being Human US/Canada
The core four have already been nominated by someone else, so I get to choose among the secondary characters.

I'm going to nominate Kat since I'm planning to request her, and I'm thinking about nominating Max, just because I like him, although it might be a waste if no one wants to ask for him. For the last two...my inclination is to nominate Emily and maybe Suren or Susanna, but I suspect Bishop and Henry would be more popular, and again, what's the point in nominating characters no one plans to request? On the other hand, if the characters are available, maybe someone will be inspired to request them. Decisions, decisions.

The Collector
This is a tiny fandom, and a reoccurring Yuletide request for me. If I go with it, I'm planning on nominating Morgan and Maya, and I don't know about the other two slots. Maybe I'll stick to two. Maybe I'll post to [livejournal.com profile] yuletide and see if anyone else asks for another character. Or maybe I'll go with Gabe and Taylor.

The Listener
This show has been disappointing lately, but I still love the characters. If I nominate this one, I'll probably nominate Toby, Michelle, Klein, and maybe Charlie. Or Maya? I'm not sure yet.

Murdoch Mysteries
I know other people are considering this one, which means Detective Murdoch and Dr. Ogden are probably already taken care of (or will be). The other main character I want is James Pendrick. Apart from him, I don't know. Again, I might see if anyone requests anything.

The other shows I was thinking about--Life, and Flashpoint if it's eligible--are already on the nomination list with the characters I want, so I don't have to worry about them. Which is nice--it means I actually have the right number of fandoms for the slots available. Well, unless I fall in love with one of the new fall shows and find myself craving fic. Which could happen. Sleepy Hollow looks promising for that.
