Het reccers presents: a shipping cage match


[livejournal.com profile] het_reccers is running a het pairing cage match. They've started with 128 ships (in groups of four) and are working down from there. There are lots of fandoms, including Avengers, BSG, Firefly, Star Trek, and The X-Files. Go vote if you're interested!

Thank you for drawing my attention to this. :-) I think that I've looked at them before, and not watched the community because they have not a single FK rec ever, but... eh. I'm watching now, and I will stay if the tag filtering function works (I will flee in terror if it doesn't ~grin~).

I'm not sure I've seen any FK recs there either. (Maybe the occasional Highlander rec?) But you could always be the first...

Having just looked at their tags, I can report that they have had two (2) HL recs to date. All my dearest fandoms are rare fandoms, and het content rarest of all. :-) Yes, indeed, maybe I could submit recs once I settle into the community and learn its customs!

You indeed haven't seen me post or comment much lately, and thank you for asking! I've had a run of minor injuries, illnesses and inconveniences -- today's my first day in weeks without bandages on multiple fingertips, for goodness sakes -- but mostly it's the giant commute (1.5+ hours each direction, depending on traffic) still eating my life. Two weeks to Moving Day!

I've logged in tonight to compile my September FK bulletin, and I'm afraid that I'm reading most of the content for the first time now.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that! I hope your spate of unfortunate incidents has come to an end for a while.

A 1.5+ hour commute sounds awful. I've done the just over an hour commute and that was bad enough. So much wasted time! Will your move shorten it by a great deal?

Good luck with the bulletin! I hope you're having fun reading the new content.
