I suppose. And it's true that Mitchell did apparently hold back a lot of information from Annie, although I don't think George knew that then. I doubt most of the hints Tully provided were things Mitchell knew, though. Pull a chicken around in a circle? Probably not a problem Mitchell ever gave much thought to. But as you say, George wasn't really thinking things through at that point. And if Mitchell really did say that hospital porter was the best George could hope for because of the need to lay low...that would kind of suck.
